Assignment #4: Web Application or Software Design

Interface Widgets are the parts of the Graphical User Interface with which the user interacts: buttons, sliders, drop-down menus, etc. They are the basic building blocks that allow users to communicate with software and websites.

For this assignment, design an interface for a web application, an online game, or a simple software program. Include at least 5 different interface widgets in your design. Use multiple screens if necessary. Widgets can take traditional or non-traditional forms.

Avatar Designer: Simpsonize Me! or South Park Studio
Product Customizer: Timbuk2 Bag Builder, Volkswagen or Scion Car Customizers.
Developer Tool: Web Color Wizard

Grading: 10 points total

__ (2) Widgets are recognizable - they look functional
__ (2) Graphic Quality: Widgets and icons are detailed and clean
__ (2) Mapping: Widgets are placed in a sensible arrangement
__ (2) Overall design: alignment, spacing, contrast, etc.
__ (2) 5 different types of widgets are used in the design
